Using Internet in research opens up both challenges and possibilities regarding methodological, practical and ethical issues. This course focuses on considering, how the Internet and the social networks in it should be approached from the methodological point of view. Are old methodological approaches still appropriate, or should they be updated in to new era or is there a need for a whole new set of methods? How to get a hold of ever flowing virtual reality that is spreading ubiquitously and synchronously everywhere? The course opens up discussions and debates on research 'on' and 'in' the Internet as a socio-cultural context of human interaction.
