The doctoral degree in the thematic programmes consists of:
- Doctoral dissertation (180 ECTS)
- Discipline-specific and faculty-specific studies (20 ECTS)
- Studies of the doctoral programme (20 ECTS)
- Philosophy of science and general research skills (20 ECTS)
Information on these parts are provided by the organising team. In the general doctoral programme, the structure of the doctoral degree follows the faculty’s structure.
Furthermore, information on the following topics will be provided:
- library services
- funding opportunities.
The orientation day takes place on Friday 28 August 2020 (10–15.00) at the University of Lapland, Rovaniemi.
In-person presence is hoped for, but a remote connection will also be made available for those who are unable to participate in the day in Rovaniemi.
