Study module

Learning outcomes:
- Individual studio work based on the two years’ previous practice, supported by individual tutoring (10 cr.)
- Creative writing focused on enabling students to be more articulate about their work (3 cr.)
- Talks by practicing creative artists about their work and the contexts in which they show it (1 cr.)
- Visiting exhibitions and reflecting on them in writing and group discussion. Exploring different techniques for mounting exhibitions (2 cr.)

The course is designed to encourage students to develop their own artwork and, particularly, to be able to better place it in the wider context of the national and international art scenes.

Weekly meetings with the tutors; group discussions, lectures, visiting exhibitions; independent studies, independent studio practice.

Active participation to the lectures, exhibition visits, completed writing tasks and art production by the end of the course.

Any 3rd year student who has Fine Art as an accepted side subject; exchange students who can demonstrate sufficient achievement in previous art practice.
